It started with a post.

I shared what learning looked like at home: my 3 and 4 year olds building projects, solving real problems, and producing work that didn’t exist. The response online was immediate. Parents recognized what was possible and wanted it for their own kids, too.

So I built it. Not another school, but a different kind of learning environment: a workshop, a lab, a place where learning is purposeful.

The idea grew out of my doctoral work in Educational Leadership at UC San Diego, where I studied a question that continues to shape my work today: how can learning environments better prepare kids for the world they're growing up in? Homeschooling my own kids alongside that research showed me how powerful education can be when it's grounded in the real world.

LJ Campus is that dissertation brought to life. Born at the intersection of research and practice, it reimagines school as a place where kids build, discover, and solve meaningful problems.

Welcome to LJC.
