• story
It started with a post.
I shared what learning looked like at home: my 3 and 4 year olds building projects, solving real problems, and turning their ideas into something of their own. Parents saw what was possible and wanted it for their kids, too.
Behind that experience were years of research. My doctoral work in Educational Leadership at UC San Diego centered on a question that continues to shape my work: What should school look like if we designed it around how kids learn, think, and grow?
Homeschooling my own kids gave me a chance to put that thinking into practice. It led to a model that pairs core academics with project-based learning that asks kids to make decisions, solve problems, and create.
So I built it. A different kind of learning environment where academic foundations and hands-on learning exist side by side.
LJ Campus is that dissertation brought to life. Born at the intersection of research and practice, it reimagines what school can be.
Welcome to LJC.
